Merafuentes Tae Kwon Do is very proud to have their very own competition team who travel around Northern California to compete against other martial arts schools and academies. This team has traveled to San Jose, San Francisco, Monterey and other areas, competing in Poomsae, Sparring, Board Breaking and Weapons. They have also traveled to Fresno, California to enter State Tournaments, where the most advanced students compete for a chance to attend national and international tournaments. This team has a strong focus on learning Tae Kwon Do on a technical level, causing the students to quickly advance and learn skills normally reserved for higher level students.
